My name is Liam K. Pettee.
I grew up in Southern Oregon, in the small town of Ashland. Throughout my life I have been heavily influenced by art, music, movement and media. My love of movement arose at a very young age when my father placed me on a pair of skis at just one year of age. From that moment on I have been obsessed with fast paced, heart racing endeavors of all kinds. You could call me a bit of an adrenaline junkie in that regard. You wanna race down a highway late at night, or climb up an abandoned building to get that one perfect shot. Count me in.
I love a project that’s filled with passion. When someone is truly invested in the work they’re doing it makes me that much more interested in helping bring that project to fruition. I’m always on the lookout for the next project that entices me into an experience I’ve never had before. I’ve worked with all kinds of people from different backgrounds and different life paths. One thing I’ve come to learn is that everyone has some kind of wisdom to offer, being able to recognize and appreciate that wisdom is a skill I’ve cultivated for many years. Each project I endeavor to take on brings new life and new skills to me. No two projects are ever exactly the same, no two people have the same perfect angles when you’re shooting photos of them. When I work with other people my biggest goal is always to understand the person I’m working with, and understand what kind of toils and troubles life has presented to them. When I understand the people, and projects I’m working on it helps me to provide the absolute best support and work towards the goal we’re pushing for.
In my work, whatever that may be, I always bring an air of professionalism. I want things to be done right, efficiently, and with a level of care that speaks to the level of passion we have for the given project. My goal will always be to produce the best possible work that I can in that current moment.
